Jacques Farel

Jacques Froidevaux, born in 1948 in Switzerland, started his career working with his father, selling Swiss watch spare parts and related machinery and tools. From early on, Jacques knew he wanted to expand the company, he therefore set off to Hong Kong in the late 70's, together with his wife Michele and 2 children Joanne and Elliot, in order to explore watch making. With a sharp eye for intricate designs, his skills and his background, he embarked on his new venture to make the company a success. "Froidevaux" being a little difficult to pronounce, Jacques and his wife Michele, over a few glasses of wine, decided to change this to "Farel". Today, Jacques Farel, has established itself as one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing international brands and is available in over 200 UK independents and department stores. It is also undoubtedly a successful mix of a strong family union with huge determination and talent.
